Felicia Hayes Obituary

Felicia Marie Hayse was born on February 12th,1966 in Chicago, IL , to her parents Charles Truitt Sr. And Vivian Truitt. Being a jack of all trades, she grew up loving to sew, sing and cook with her mother. On the other hand, learned to bake, count and debate with her father. Together, they instilled the importance of Christ, and she later showed her obedience by joining the choir at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Which was led by her mother, Vivian, and the family church the Truitt’s called home for many years. She attended Van Vlissingen Elementary School on the South Side of Chicago and later continued her education at Chicago Vocational High school. Where she majored in band and started her journey of exploring the many talents, we all came to love.

From there, she became a licensed cosmetologist through John Amico School of hair, which allowed her to pursue her passion and career of beautifying clients at Laree’s Beauty Shop. Aside from that, she spent her time being a mother first and singer, seamstress, doctor, confidant and the head of a body of people that loved her as their own. She later became a Certified Nurses Assistant and shared her love for nursing care for over a decade. Aside from the jobs we know she never considered work; she spent a short time in factory work where she was known as the aunt everyone loved to call their own. Her Vivid imagination, big heart and hard-working hands helped her touch countless lives through her talents and love for sewing and building doll houses. Felicia lived her life always showing that big, beautiful smile, dancing and singing to the music in the background, and giving the most love to whoever needed it in the moment. She leaves behind a legacy of dreams fulfilled beyond her wildest imagination and for that alone, we must carry it on.

Felicia is preceded in death by her parents: Charles Truitt Sr and Vivian Truitt, her Aunt Adie Faye, Her Grandson, Deputy Jermyius Young, Ronald Mitchell Sr., and a host of other loved ones.

Felicia leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Raph Hayse; her children, Brandon (JaQuanta), Vivian (Michael), Ralph 3rd (Nijiah), De’Vonte, and Stephanie (Wanya).
